Every fall, I schedule my furnace to get tuned up because I understand the importance of having a properly functioning heating unit when you need it, and as a homeowner, I look forward to having the heating maintenance for many reasons, and one of the significant reasons is to see how well I have cared for my unit.
Another reason is to ask the HVAC serviceman about the issue I encountered during the last heating repair.
I learn a lot about my system & how to operate it. I am also aware of the repairs I can do & the ones I cannot. I remember when I attempted to do the duct sealing on the part of the ductwork. That was leaking. I did such a lousy task & almost ruined the duct system. At least I can problemshoot a problem with the digital thermostat. I have had it for years & know what to do when it malfunctions. When the HVAC techs came to my residence, I welcomed them as official & then watched as they worked. It was fascinating watching how well they knew the heating technology. Since I hired a teaching training business, the senior specialist explained some steps to the trainees while delivering the household services, & I listened in. It was not peculiar this week. I watched, heard, & asked questions. The heating dealer delivered some components the specialists upgraded on the heat pump. The heating industry has become very interesting to me over the seasons. The best thing about tune-up mornings is the end of the day when I care about the improved indoor comfort. This week I decided to listen to classical rock n roll over a glass of wine as I want quality warmth.
