A separate thermostat for the kitchen

I don’t know about you, but my family loves puzzles.

My daughter likes puzzles so much, that she will be working on one and make the kids eat at the coffee table so she doesn’t need to take it down for dinner.

I laugh at her when she does this. It is good for the family because they all get to work on the puzzle, but it makes dinner time a bit hectic. They have one main room that is living room, kitchen and dining room. I was surprised when she showed me they had separate thermostat for every part of the room. I thought that would be overkill, but it works out pretty well. The thermostat in the kitchen area allows her to shut the heating way down during the winter, and it doesn’t heat up the house. In the summer, she can always turn the thermostat is also down lower, so that she can combat some of the heat coming from the kitchen. The kids can be playing video games on the television in the living room, and they have their own thermostat. I know it sounds odd, but somehow the Zone Control set up this way, actually makes the entire house more comfortable. I just wish they had thought to put a thermostat in the sunroom. Somedays, even in the winter, the sun coming through the windows can make it unbearable to sit and be comfortable. They are planning on installing a new HVAC system next year. From what she has told me, they will also be putting a new Zone out in the sunroom. I’m glad I’m not the only one who realized the heat is unbearable.
