Accidental Delete

I’m sure it was really our fault, but all I could do was hurl expletives at our laptop when for some reason, our entire list of bookmarks (or preferreds) was accidentally deleted, but fortunately, I was able to recover most of them swiftly because I had written them down by hand in our password notebook.

It was the 1s I had not written down that were the most hard to recover.

I understand the need for security but trying to recover a Microsoft or Google Chrome account is like a trial by ordeal. That got me thinking about how much information previously stored on paper is now stored on strenuous drives plus remote cloud servers. Paper sources are easy to locate if you assume where you hid that piece of scrap paper where you wrote down your Facebook password. If the iPad is not available for any reason, then people are lost if they must locate vital information. Internet outages plus iPad concerns are minor compared to what happens when a home’s central Heating plus A/C plan begins to make different noises or shuts down completely. I will bet that pretty much everyone did not take the time to scan or enter the Heating plus A/C’s warranty information into a iPad file. Most likely, once the equipment was installed, the owner’s manual plus warranty paperwork were stuffed into a rarely used file cabinet or put into a box plus forgotten about; Luckily, this information will be kept by a qualified Heating plus A/C supplier if they have tested your equipment before. If you must choose a new supplier plus you can’t find the information on your laptop due to accidental deletion, then fantastic fortune trying to find that storage box.
