Sometimes I think that people are so wasteful with their money it actually makes me sad. I really want to help other people to make better decisions with their finances so that they are not consistently living from paycheck to paycheck and worrying about making a living. However, most people do not accept the advice about their financial situation without taking offense. That’s why I attempted to say absolutely nothing when I was recently chatting with one of my friends. He mentioned that he had just purchased a very expensive new safe for his home which included a separate climate control inside of the protective unit. Rather than relying on his forced air furnace and smaller mini split ductless heating and cooling systems to provide an optimal indoor air temperature condition for all of his most valuable belongings, he sprung for a very expensive safe which had a separate indoor air quality control system installed. Somehow, there is a tiny heating and cooling system installed in the massive metal safe. Not only does it provide accurate air temperature control for the contents of the safe, but it even controls the air quality through humidity modification and air filtration. He told me that there is a tiny HEPA air filter and UV disinfection system connected with the safe to provide optimal air quality for any expensive belongings stored within. I thought all of this was extremely cool… But at the same time, I struggled not to ask my friend about the purpose of the temperature controlled safe. Seems like he just spent all of his money on it – so what will go inside?
