Dealing with warm cooling systems

Before my partner married me, she lived in tropical weather conditions.

She is the kind of lady that thinks that when the temperature is in the low 50s it is cold.

While I grew up in subtropical weather conditions, I really do prefer basking in the sunshine and that comforting feeling of humidity every now and then (yes, I said comforting, kind of like a warm, wet blanket) . That is not exactly how I feel when it is time to go to sleep. Instead, I need my home office to be at least 67°or even lower. The cool, crisp air has consistently helped me get a much better night’s rest than when it’s hotter. I shall even have fans in the room in the winter time to circulate the air and give me a source of white noise to lull me to sleep. Well, when my buddy and I got married I found that I needed to compromise because my partner wasn’t too crazy about the fans, although she entirely wasn’t crazy about keeping the temperature in the 70s in our home office. I pleaded with her to wear extra layers, and sometimes this really works and she lets me keep the thermostat at 65° at the least. Other times, she just can’t get comfortable because she is too frigid and she ends up going to adjust the thermostat while I am sleeping. Sporadically, I sleep through the night without noticing, but most of the time I wake up in the early hours of the morning. My first thought is that someone has adjusted the temperature on the thermostat. Marriage is about compromise though, so my buddy and I will figure it out I am sure.
