About a week ago, my husband & I decided to invest in a new house, but the main reason why every one of us chose to do this was to have our mother stay with us, and he is getting up there in his years, & I don’t undoubtedly trust a nursing apartment to take care of her, but i have heard horror stories about those elderly homes, & I don’t want his to have to suffer in his final years.
Due to this every one of us obtained a house that has an in-law suite with it’s own bedroom & everything.
There is also HVAC zone control so he can crank up the heating plan as much as he wants without affecting our area of the household. There is also a rather nice fireplace in the residing room area. Even though our mom likes his own section of the house, he prefers resting in front of the fireplace in his rocking chair while he knits. She likes to knit all kinds of things like socks, sweaters, & scarves. She has made our husband & I all sorts of things love that while he rests in front of the fireplace. Sporadically I will simply lay around there with his & just talk about things while listening to the crackling noise of the fireplace. I undoubtedly can’t blame him for loving that spot so much because it undoubtedly is comfortable & relaxing. Once in a blue moon my mother will make us all some delicious hot cocoa as well. She makes it better than anybody else, & I love it when he does that, but a lot of the time, our husband, our mom & I will all just be fantastic in front of the fireplace sipping on that wonderful hot cocoa.
