A lot of the local shops are open tonight because they will have a larger crowd than normal & they make a pretty penny when they open their doors up on weekend evenings where an event is taking place.
This weekend, I am going to step out of my comfort zone and do something different. I live in a hot, humid area and it’s smack dab in the middle of the summer, so lately, I’ve spent all my nights at a local bar. It’s a hole in the wall, but they have excellent air conditioning and they play all the local sports games. If I am not enjoying the sports bar, then I often go play basketball at some local outdoor courts. However, I don’t want to go over to the basketball courts this weekend because I’ve been experiencing some knee pain from an injury I got on the job. I work as a heating and cooling technician, and I lifted a window air conditioning unit that was a little too heavy on my knee. I want to make sure I give it time to heal, and I know playing basketball will only make it worse. Despite the humidity, I might step outside. There is an art walk taking place downtown, so there should be some action later on. My friend, who works with me at the HVAC company, told me he may join me later & hang out for the art walk. While I want to do something, I probably will wait until the sun goes out to check out the art walk. That’s the only way I can go outside in this humidity. I am the type that really prefers to be in an air conditioned setting.
