Finding Out about the Comfort Club

For years I competed with all the other homeowners in my neighborhood for my biannual HVAC maintenance.

The HVAC company I used was a family-owned, local, small business that offered fantastic service but they were always busy.

Everyone else in the area preferred to use this HVAC company for their own heat and air needs and it was competitive. If you wanted to have your HVAC system serviced, you needed to book an appointment three weeks in advance because that’s how long it would take to be seen. If you needed to use their emergency service after hours, you’d pay three times the amount in labor and fees. This HVAC company was fantastic though, especially compared to the other HVAC companies in the area. People were willing to pay or wait long periods of time to have their HVAC systems serviced. Recently, I found out about a secret HVAC comfort club that they offered. If you paid an annual fee, you could receive priority scheduling and a discount on parts and repairs. They didn’t advertise it since they were already so busy, so you had to ask about it directly. The fee wasn’t much more than what I was already paying to have my HVAC system serviced twice per year anyway, but it was worth every penny knowing that I’d be given an advantage toward scheduling. I’m glad I found out about the comfort club through word of mouth, but I wouldn’t dare tell anyone else about it because then it wouldn’t be worth it.
