This year for my birthday my husband surprised me with something I have been wanting for a long time.
- I have been begging him to get me a new AC unit or at least to call an HVAC technician to fix the old one.
My husband kept saying that our AC unit was fine, but it took hours before it would get cool and sometimes the AC unit wouldn’t ever get cool. I would try all different settings on our smart thermostat but nothing would get the AC to blast cool. The furnace in our house also has some problems, but we hardly ever use the furnace because it never gets cold where we live. It does get very hot, which is why I really wanted a new AC unit. I came home from work on my birthday and noticed how nice and cold the house was, I went to the thermostat and saw that it was actually on a low setting. I asked my husband what happened with the AC unit and he told me that he called an HVAC technician. I went to look where our old AC unit was but I didn’t see it. He told me that he talked to the HVAC technician and decided to switch us from central heating and cooling to something that he said was called zoned heating and cooling. I had never heard of the new zoned heating and cooling but now my house is much more balanced as far as the AC goes and I can actually feel it everywhere!
