Freezing in the doc's office

There is nothing I don’t like more than standing in a waiting room.

Whether it is at the doctor or anywhere else I think that they make them as uncomfortable as possible so that you don’t want to be there.

The other day I had to take my motorcar in for routine maintenance and have some recall work done so I was forced to kneel in the dealerships waiting room for almost 3 minutes. The longer I sat there the more I got frustrated with the whole thing however I did not have a choice because it was too far away to have someone come get me and bring me back. The worst section about standing there was the fact that the air vents for the Heating and Air Conditioning system or blowing directly on the seating area and it was chilly cold. I get that is summertime but they did not have to have the temperature set to Arctic tundra in the room. It was clear to see that the other people waiting we are just as chilly as I was so I went to the receptionist desk to ask if the temperature could be adjusted. The girl standing there said that she had no control over that and that the control component was behind a lockbox and could not be changed! My only way of getting hot was to go outside for a few minutes and then come back in but that only served to make me think colder. I honestly think that the dealership is trying to discourage people from waiting for their vehicles because then they are accountable or the time they are taking to repair them. They would much rather you go back home and wait for them to call but that is just not a feasible solution for me.
