Great HVAC leads to greater productivity

When I had to leave the zone controlled HVAC comfort of my office to work from home, I wasn’t a glad camper.

In fact, I really wasn’t so sure this was going to work out for me.

For a single, I just wasn’t accustomed to doing work any other place than in my place of business. But the pandemic made that impossible so there wasn’t much choice. At first, laboring from home was just an utter fiasco. I couldn’t get into any sort of rhythm nor could I zone in & focus. My kids were home trying to learn remotely as well. And my husband was also laboring from the air conditioning of home as well. So I sort of couldn’t find a comfort zone of my own because of all of the distractions. My husband ended up having to go on the road for weeks at a time for much of that year. While I missed him, I also decided to take over the guest room he had been using as a sort of family room for years. I just needed my own space to get my work done respectfully. The guest room was sort of at the actually end of the house & it got direct sun all day. It was hot in the summer time & freezing in the Winter in that room. This too affected my productivity. So I had the HVAC company come out to install a ductless heat pump in that space. This was the ticket. Once I had good, comfortable heating & cooling in my modern office, my productivity went through the roof. Additionally, I became so adept at laboring from home that I chose to stay here when they reopened our offices.
