I was looking for improving my comfort and adding some convenience to my home when I looked at home automation systems.
I wanted to be able to have control of the light, HVAC and even the appliances without needing to do it manually.
I am a child of today and I wanted to be able to check on my house and make adjustments even if I was away from the house. I like remote access so I can adjust the thermostat or even turn off the lights. With the automation of my home, I could do so much more than the routine handling of my home. My home automation system will raise or lower the temperature whenever my home is unoccupied. I have incorporated every appliance in my home into the home automation. The home automation now decides what should be turned on and when. I give my input, but the home automation does the rest. I wake up in the morning to have the lights on, the HVAC system is set to the perfect temperature, the radio is playing and my coffee is ready. When I leave in the morning, the sprinklers turn on, the pool filter starts to run and I don’t need to worry about anything. At night, the dishwasher will run and I don’t need to worry about anything. I wish I could teach it how to cook and put the dishes away, but I guess that is too much to ask. AFter all, it already starts my roomba and has it vacuuming my floors even when I’m not at home.
