Well, once again it looks like I am the embarrassing person in this group who managed to overpack for the trip that we were going on.
It seems like this is a constant issue in my life no matter where I am headed to.
I have a tendency to over prepare and bring way too many items with me just in case something goes awry. It doesn’t help when I do not have a good idea of our trip itinerary or the conditions that we are going to be meeting. This is exactly what happened last week when I was under the impression that we were going to be freezing cold for the foreseeable future. I was headed out of town on a trip with my brothers who kept insisting that the outdoor climate and indoor air temperature controls at our destination left a lot to be desired. I was panicking over how cold I was going to be in this untreated indoor air and brutally cold outdoor environments. I didn’t have a ton of warm clothes to moderate to the unfortunate indoor air temperature control system. Beyond that, I am generally cold year-round. Even in the middle of a brutally hot and humid summer I can catch a chill that lasts all day. Sometimes I don’t even want to use air conditioning because I find it too uncomfortably cool. That being said, they really freaked me out about the heating system and temperature issues. In the end, when we arrived at our destination I found that the indoor thermostat, heating system, and ductwork was working just fine. I was actually way too warm the entire week.
