I hired a young man from the school to work part-time afternoons at my business.
The young man was interested in reading about Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C repair work. I agreed to supply the child a job after school 4 afternoons each week. I thought the experience would immerse him into the heating as well as a/c repair world. I thought that would supply the child a nice idea about whether or not he absolutely wanted to pursue heating as well as AC repair work. The first couple of afternoons at work, things were fine. Unfortunately, the child came to work a single afternoon as well as he had been clearly drinking. I told the child that I would not tolerate anyone drinking at work under any circumstances at all. The child had some words for me that were not polite or respectful. After the child said everything that he wanted to say, I told him that he could go house as well as that I no longer wanted him to work for the company. The child left genuinely miserable as well as I did not see him again until the next afternoon. Even though I was clear about my decision not to come back to the business. The kids still showed up the next afternoon expecting to work. He apologized for his behavior from the previous afternoon as well as said he had too much to drink with his friends. I politely told the child that this is a supplier as well as I cannot tolerate that kind of behavior. Even though he was apologetic, I still could not continue to keep him on the staff.
