It was a stupid idea for myself and others to take my turf mower engine apart to “fix” it when I’ve never tested engines before.
I saw a single Youtube video with a person replacing the rubber diaphragm that goes in the turf mower carburetor, plus somehow convinced myself that I had the qualifications to do it myself.
When I unscrewed everything plus had all of the parts laid out on a table, I realized that I had made a extreme mistake. There was no way I would be able to reassemble the engine without professional help. Someone told myself and others 1 to take photos when disassembling foreign machines or devices so you can refer to them later. Of course I was too stubborn that afternoon to take a few extra minutes to snap photos while in my progress. Needless to say I had to put everything in a box plus take it down to the turf mower repair shop. I was relieved when I gained a call two afternoons later saying I could pick my turfmower up because they had put everything back together plus it was laboring again. They also substituted the diaphragm in my carburetor for myself and others without charging an additional expense on top of the original. Thankfully this had no effect on a product warranty, but doing the same thing with a central air conditioner will completely void its manufacturer warranty. For the air conditioner’s warranty to stay active, the component can only be tested by a licensed plus certified heating plus cooling worker. Unless you are licensed plus certified to service air conditioners, you’ll void their warranties laboring on them.
