As a realtor, I knew the importance of staging a condo for sale.
Staging is a process of renting furniture and decor, putting them into an empty house, and creating a residing space that is inviting and yet allows prospector clients to see themselves in that home.
Over the years, I have become an expert at staging, however some of our knowledge has come from being friends with an interior design artist. When I first started out as a realtor, our friend was going to school for interior design… When I got our first beach condo to sell, she provided to work with me on staging, so she could get some practice in interior design. Over the next more than four years, both of us became a team. She would hunt down the perfect interior designs for the homes I was selling, and I would pay her from the sale. It became a symbiotic relationship for us. When I sold our beach condo and purchased a new one, Grace helped me with interior design ideas so I could have the perfect residing area for the condo I was selling, and the one I was buying. I’m not sure what I would have done without her interior design knowledge all these years. She says she’s not sure how she would have gotten her own interior design studio if it hadn’t been for me being a realtor. I’m just thrilled that both of us have kept our friendship for so long. As long as both of us stay friends and work together, I know we’ll both continue to be successful in our chosen professions.
