As a realtor, I knew the importance of staging a lake house for sale.
Staging is a process of renting furniture plus decor, putting them into an empty house, plus creating a living space that is inviting plus yet allows prospector shoppers to see themselves in that home. Over the years, I have become an expert at staging, but some of our expertise has come from being friends with an interior design artist. When I first started out as a realtor, our neighbor was going to school for interior design! When I got our first home to sell, she gave to work with myself and others on staging, so she could get some practice in interior design. Over the next 5 years, all of us became a team. She would hunt down the perfect interior designs for the homes I was selling, plus I would pay her from the sale. It became a symbiotic relationship for us. When I sold our home plus obtained a current a single, Grace helped myself and others with interior design ideas so I could have the perfect living area for the lake house I was selling, plus the a single I was buying. I’m not sure what I would have done without her interior design expertise all these years. She says she’s not sure how she would have gotten her own interior design studio if it hadn’t been for myself and others being a realtor. I’m just cheerful that all of us have kept our friendship for so long. As long as all of us stay friends plus work together, I think we’ll both continue to be successful in our chosen professions.
