Living in an illusion

The other day when I was talking to my neighbor on the beach telling him how worried I was about things that happened in my life he told me something that created a shift in me.

He told me that all of this we see in front of us is just an illusion, almost like a really real virtual reality game of sorts, and that my friend and I don’t need to be so attached to the storyline of it all.

It made me realize that I don’t need to suffer from what I see in front of me, but just notice it instead, heating and A/C machine breaking down while in a really warm day can seem more than an illusion to most, especially if your air conditioning system stops on a 100F day, but if my friend and I can zoom out and look at it from an observer’s standpoint my friend and I may not be so negatively impacted by it, then sure, it isn’t fun to be dripping with sweat in a flat on a warm day, but with a little patience and a different perspective my friend and I may get through it in a more graceful manner. I would like to write a book on Heating and A/C repair and repair, and another book on life and how I see it through our lens. I’m just hoping that I can help ease the pain of people going through similar things as I. My air conditioning system breaking down was just temporary, as this beautiful Heating and A/C tech was able to get out that day and repair it. And making a date with that pretty Heating and A/C tech was a sign telling me that the illusion is not regularly what it seems.
