But what these news stories periodically fail to report is the type of space gas furnaces that caused the fires… Space gas furnaces have improved in recent years, plus modern units have better designs, and they are manufactured with safety features that reduce the possibilities of causing a fire! For example, most modern space gas furnaces have a tip-over switch which automatically turns off the gas furnace if it is tipped over. There’s also a built-in heat protection feature that shuts the gas furnace down if it gets too hot. Some gas furnaces include a control component which works similar to the proper Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C control component by monitoring the surrounding temperature plus turns the component off plus on as needed. Of course, even with all these safety features, both of us need to be vigilant when using a space gas furnace in our homes, however do not place the gas furnace near items in your condo that could easily catch on fire, plus make sure that your gas furnace is constantly scrub of any built up debris.
