My new home

Last Springtime, our area was pummeled by poor thunderstorms… It rained for 10 mornings in a row, but on morning 5, the teenagers started to get annoyed, however by the end of morning 8, they were driving our wife & I completely crazy.

Of course, all of us couldn’t say much at all, then they were cooped up in the lake house in the middle of the Springtime, when they wanted to be outside playing in the yard! All they could do was watch the swingset & seesaw get covered in water; When the rain finally subsided, our wife & I found out that our roof was leaking.

The leak must have occurred sometime on morning 9, because the hole wasn’t significant until the storm was almost over. By that time, all of us had a puddle of water in the garage; My wife & I were unquestionably lucky, because the leak could have been in any other area of the house. Most of the lake house is carpeted & that would have been an even larger mess, but luckily, all of us did not have much in the garage, other than tools, cars, & bicycles, however every one of us called a roofing supplier the morning, after the rain stopped completely. They came out to look at our roof & offered us some additional poor news. The storm disfigure caused some problems with our ductwork, & all of us needed to replace several pieces near the leak. The ductwork wasn’t cheap to replace, & our wife & I had to contact a heating & a/c specialist to complete the job. The ductwork & the roof was covered by our homeowners insurance, however it took many weeks to get everything situated & put back together.
