Need to seal the ducts

My partner and I are in the process of renovating a small farm house. Fortunately, the place was gifted to us through a family member, and we were thrilled about making it our own. We both knew we would need to put a little sweat plus blood into the renovation to bring it back to life, however we were ready. We wanted to paint the walls, polish the hardwood floors, and change some of the fixtures. What we weren’t expecting was a complete replacement of the old heating A/C system! On our first evening at the farm house, we noticed how chilly it got inside. No matter how many layers we wore, it felt as if we were sitting outside in the frigid rapidly decreasing temperatures. My partner tried raising the temperature on the temperature control, however it didn’t heat the place evenly. The furnace would run for 20 minutes, then stop running for 45 minutes, then it completed this cycle all evening long; After struggling to stay warm enough that evening, we took action the following day. First, we spoke to an HVAC serviceman about updating the HVAC system completely. My partner and I needed something that would distribute heat evenly plus efficiently. While the HVAC serviceman helped us select a newer model, he also recommended that we sealed all the doors plus windows. Since the place was older, a lot of the heat was escaping through unseen cracks. Neither of us had thought about that! Thankfully, with the new HVAC unit plus sealing the cracks, we were able to heat our new home much better.
