For the past few years, I’ve been working as an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C worker at a single of our local heating plus cooling companies.
I’ve easily care about working there up until the past few weeks, all of us got a new director on the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C repair team plus I’m having a taxing time getting along with him. See, he’s not easily a service worker at all. He’s more of a sales guy, plus he’s trying to get all of the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C service guys to beginning selling too. I have a large problem with this. I don’t know that if I’m out at someone’s home repairing their gas furnace system or working on their thermostat that I should try to sell them a brand new heat pump or a new central a/c unit. It just doesn’t make any sense to me; But of course my new boss wants us to keep our numbers up by trying to sell new Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C unit whether it’s easily needed or not. I try to be up front plus even-handed with my customers, though. So I easily don’t want them to suppose pressured to buy something from myself and others if they don’t have the currency or something. I hate giving sales pitches to people about radiant heated flooring plus ductless mini split a/c units. I know it’s the worst thing ever. I told my boss that I’m there to repair air conditioners, not sell them. He doesn’t agree with me, though. I don’t know how much longer I can stick it out in this situation. I might have to switch to another heating plus cooling company at this rate.
