The gym is exactly the type that you would see Sylvester Stallone in. There was a large ring in the middle of the venue with a big floor around it. There was a variety of boxing unit to use. After decades of use, the gym was starting to be kind of pathetic looking. The owner of the boxing gym didn’t have the energy or desire to pay for new unit and materials, and people stopped using the facility. Six weeks ago, they shuttered the doors and the lot and building has been sitting there empty since that time, but last Sunday, our lady and I were out running around town and saw a large sign in the front window of the seasoned boxing gym. They are turning the Stallone-style gym into a giant bodybuilding megaplex. The name of the new owners was listed on the construction sign and it is one of those nationally known companies that helps everyone with bodybuilding and weightlifting. They are going to grand opening celebration right before the Winter time holidays. I’m happy that someone is going to turn the building into a modern gym. I’m not sure that our family or I have any desire to join a bodybuilding or weightlifting gym, however the revenue will certainly not hurt our community. It will most likely bring business into the diner at the end of the corner and maybe other businesses will come and cater to the bodybuilders.
