I love smoking, so normally I love being outside, but it has been so hot lately I’ve had to stay inside in the cooling.
There is an adorable pizzeria about several blocks away from where I live, the locale doesn’t have a respected name, the sign out front just says Diner on it, it’s run by an older gent who goes by the name of Pops, plus no a single knows what his real name really is! Pops Diner has slowly turned into the go-to hangout spot for myself and others plus every other millennial over in the neighborhood. The food is pretty good, and the beer is pretty cheap, but there is just a good atmosphere to the locale plus I find myself going there a few times each week. Pops is a small site, but there is an air conditioned kitchen inside, plus an outdoor bar on the back porch overlooking the bayou. In the A/C you get food, you can drink great beer, and sometimes he even has a local band playing tunes, but there is strictly no smoking or fighting! Out on the porch all bets are off, there is unlimited natural ventilation through the mosquito screens, so drinking plus smoking are the order of the day. I hate being so addicted to cigarettes I have to choose between my vice plus temperature control. Of course I could do both if I simply stayed beach loft with my own AC, despite the fact that I have been having so much fun at Pops lately. I hope it starts cooling off outside soon, so I won’t have to keep on making this decision in the end.
