My mother in law wants to come visit in February, however let me first start with saying that she isn’t close with her daughter plus I barely recognize her.
Her visiting means she squats at our condo for a free holiday.
She expects my partner to do airport rides, em to cook for her plus us to entertain her the whole trip. She is a legitimately needy, invasive guest. She doesn’t offer to help us around the condo or even legitimately thank us for our time. The kicker is that I will have a one week old baby in February. My mother in law doesn’t have any interest in the bay. She wants to escape a northern Winter time plus like our southern Winter time temperatures. A southern Winter time isn’t that cold. I do turn on our furnace, but it hardly works. You can still wear shorts outside with a light jacket. Setting the furnace at 68 degrees means that it runs only at night. I see where going from -20 degree conditions to around 60 degrees is much better. I get where her mother doesn’t want to deal with ice, snow plus extreme freezing but like sunshine plus stay by our pool. I’ll be taking care of a newborn at that time. I will need my partner’s help. I don’t want my mother in law requiring toil on top of this. I don’t like this woman enough to make my life more difficult. My partner doesn’t even want her at the condo either. She isn’t taking it well that the two of us won’t let her holiday plus like our pool, furnace plus beach condo for free.
