Suing over a fence and dog busting out

One year ago I had to hire a lawyer to help me with some civil litigation.

  • I share a fence with this guy Bob.

Bob is not a neat person or real on top of it. The fence is in good shape, however there are a few holes that need repairs. When Bob brought a new dog home, he tried breaking through the fence to get to our cats. I told Bob this was going to be a problem plus suggested that he reinforce the fence on his portion of the lawn. My cats rarely spend any time on that side of the yard, so I knew the problem was the warped boards on that side. There were clear bite marks plus claw marks on his side of the fence as well. Bob didn’t reinforce the fence plus his dog came through a single morning plus ended up in our backyard. One of my cats scratched the dog plus both of us had a huge problem. Bob tried to sue us for the vet bills. They were high-priced, however my husband plus I did not think it was our duty to pay for the belt. When Bob filed a lawsuit in civil court, my spouse plus I decided to hire a civil litigator. Both of us didn’t want to take any chances with this. A friend of ours lent help with the case. He tried to reason with the neighbor. Both of us even provided to pay a small portion of the bill. Bob would not accept the money in pieces. He wanted the full payment. When the case went to court, our lawyer fought plus we won.
