Okay, so there was a lot to learn when the two of us moved to the south.
And I mean a lot to learn.
Almost everything was new to my partner & I. We were both born & raised in a big city up north. And until the two of us moved to the south for his new job, that’s all the two of us knew. Both of us grew up in the heating & cooling comfort of new home living. Funnily enough, our respective apartments truly had good Heating & A/C equipment. And that’s not truly the case with most folks in our socioeconomic range. Our first new home together just out of university wasn’t so good when it came to a/c. But the radiant heating from the boiler in the basement truly did a good job of heating us in the winter. But when the two of us moved to the south, the emphasis undoubtedly wasn’t on the heating part of Heating & A/C. We were in the land of a/c. But the two of us l earned truly quick that you have to do your part when it comes a/c our house. Again, just having a new home was a big change for us. Having windows with a view & no neighbors meant that the two of us didn’t care to cover up. When the two of us bought this house, the two of us substituted the old Heating & A/C component with the latest in residential Heating & A/C. So the two of us knew that there would be no concern with the a/c. There wasn’t as our new home was always cool. But when I got the first utility bill of late Springtime, I had to make a change as it was extraordinarily high. This was due to the direct sunshine heating since the two of us didn’t have drapes or shades. We got some in short order I can assure you.
