When I go to our town’s pet store, I’m always uncomfortable because the temperature setting inside the store is never right. I’m always burning up or shivering with goosebumps. Most times, it’s much more likely to be too hot inside rather than cold. I brought the crazy temperatures up to a store employee during one of my visits, but he informed me that the control equipment was situated in their main office on the other coast. This made no sense to me, because why would the control equipment be located 3000 miles away from the store? I cannot count the amount of times I’ve entered the store only to walk back out and drive to a different pet store with better temperature control. The serious heat cannot be good for the creatures inside the store either. These creatures must be roasting in their pens, especially if they’re being boarded for days. There’s no way I’d leave my hamster in a store with improper heating and air flow. I assume the employees have it pretty bad as well, because they have to work in awful uneven temperatures.
