The other day, I needed to pick up a few items from the local corner store. I thought I would just be in and out, but there were a lot of people in there for some reason. It was a blazing hot day, and I figured since there were so many people, the HVAC system was struggling from all the body heat. Seriously, the place wasn’t that big but the place was absolutely packed. I felt bad for the person working there because he was having a hard time keeping up with all the people. I was actually surprised that nobody tried to steal anything from the store because they probably wouldn’t have noticed easily. The thing that bothered me the most was that the place was stifling though. I knew the A/C was working but it was mainly just overheated because there were too many people. I wondered if the worker there thought to go to the thermostat and crank up the A/C some more. I was actually wishing that a lot of people would just leave. I couldn’t go anywhere without purchasing the items that I got, and there was no way I was going to give up and go to another store to get what I needed. I knew I was going to have to deal with being overheated without enough air conditioning. I’m certain that the place would have felt comfortable if it weren’t so packed. I learned that there was some kind of special event going on down the street and all these people came to the nearest store to get a bunch of things.
