Trying to get a grasp on my air quality priorities

The pandemic genuinely made me rethink a good amount of things I had taken for granted. Did this happen to you, at all? At first I was totally bummed about all the creature comforts I had lost, such as pizza. I was disappointed that I could no longer have a pizza delivered anytime I wished. A few weeks later, it was a deeper level of being bummed when I came to learn that the pizza locale I enjoyed would never re-open for business. Having clean bottled water whenever I felt like it was something else I totally took for granted, and now it is more challenging to acquire. My air quality, the air that I spend all day breathing, was something else I never fully was able to appreciate. With an airborne virus in the mix, air filters, and clean ventilation systems, right away became necessary when they never had been before. Happily things like air filters are pretty easy to order online, so I went ahead and ordered a whole case of them, just in case. No matter what happens, I am set on air filters for the next 2 years at least. Next up, I found a few good tutorial videos on Youtube about cleaning HVAC ducts and air vents by yourself. This is traditionally the type of thing I would hire an HVAC professional to do for me, but now I’d rather not have outsiders come into my dwelling. When it comes to replacing appliances in my home, or tuning up the HVAC components, I will of course rely on the professionals… But for cleaning the HVAC duct and swapping out air filters, I need to handle everything entirely myself.
