Why Your A/C is Leaking Water

Pay close attention to your home’s device & supply repair & repairs as soon as they become apparent.

Water leaking from an A/C device is a common problem. If you notice a leak in your air conditioning system, call a professional instantly. Waiting too long to fix leaking water can cause more disfigure. A clogged condensate drain line can cause a leak in a home’s Heating & Air Conditioning system. To properly reroute condensation to the outside of the house, a condensate line is installed in the home. Mold & mildew can clog this & cause water to back up into your air conditioner unit. After you have determined that your condensate drain line is clear, you will need to check your pump. A condensate pump pumps water from the pan to the outside drain. These are usually found in applications where gravity cannot be used to drain the water. Depending on the pump type, you may need to have a professional check its functions. Dirty air filters are a single of the easiest things to check for when you have a leak. When an air filter is dirty or clogged, the air conditioning plan has to work harder, which can lead to coils frosty over & leaking. Schedule correct repair appointments to change your air conditioning air filter to ensure that it is constantly wipe & that your plan is not overworking itself. A drain pan collects any condensation dripping from the air conditioning system. In this pan, condensate drains into the condensate line, which is carried outside to drain properly! Rusted or disfigured drain pans can cause leaks because they do not operate as they should. Finally, your plan may just be low on refrigerant. The last check you need to do is to have a professional come to your loft & examine the system, but low refrigerant will cause the plan to work harder. Like a dirty air filter, this can cause coils to freeze over & leak into arenas you do not want them to.
