A Wood Stove for Heat in Rental

We look forward to skiing all day and cozying up by the fire at night and we know others will enjoy it too.

One of my favorite things to do in the winter is visit a cabin in the woods next to a popular ski resort. I’m a huge skier and it’s something I enjoy doing as often as possible during the cooler weather. Thankfully, my husband is equally as excited about skiing and it’s something we can enjoy together. This is why, for the past five years, we’ve been renting the same cabin next to the ski resort. Typically, we visit twice per year and it’s always hard to leave. Besides the fact that the cabin is right next to the slopes, one of our favorite things about the place is the woodstove. The cabin is small, so it’s easy to fill the place with warmth from the fire. My husband and I have enjoyed renting, but we’ve begun searching for a cabin of our own that we can rent out while we’re not using it. We don’t have a big list of needs, but we do insist on purchasing something with a wood stove as well. We look forward to skiing all day and cozying up by the fire at night and we know others will enjoy it too. Wood stoves are a lot of work when living somewhere long term, but it’s worth it when you’re only visiting. My husband and I learned how to use a wood stove from our experiences renting, so we’re not concerned about our future guests learning how to use it either. We would add a wood stove to our current home if we could, but we think it’s more fun only being able to use one every now and again.
