Every so often your central heating & a/c method could use a good cleaning.
No, I am not talking about a air duct cleaning or an air filter change.
I am talking about literally cleaning the central heating & a/c method equipment itself! Why should you do this you may ask? The reason is that even outside dirt, grime, etc can get into the fan or motor of your central heating & a/c method & cause it to eventually cut down. The cleaning of your central heating & a/c equipment is straight-forward, but you may want to think how. Well let myself and others tell you. What I do is get the hose from a standard condo vacuum cleaner & attach it, & just simply vacuum around the edges of the central heating & a/c method equipment outside. Then I will check around the edges of the grates where the fan are & if they need cleaning I will do the same thing. Then it also can help if you take your water hose & spray it down & let the outside air dry it off. This step is one you should take if you live in a dry weather conditions that hardly gets any rain like the southwest section of the country. I live there, so this is the extra step I take when cleaning off my central heating & a/c method unit! Because I do all of these things it is sparse that I ever have any major complications with my central heat & a/c unit, however of course, having Heating & Air Conditioning tune ups & check ups help also.
