From truck driving to HVAC technician.

I was the youngest HvAC technician in the company’s fleet.

  • I wasn’t youngest in age, but in length of time I had worked for this firm.

I loved driving truck. For the first time in my life, I was able to travel and see the country without it costing me an arm and a leg. I loved driving but I hated the truck I was driving. I was planning on getting my own truck as soon as I had enough money for the down payment. The air conditioning didn’t want to want that long. I had been complaining about the air conditioning ever since the weather had begun to warm up. They kept telling me they were unable to fix my air conditioning and I would have to wait until a new truck came into the lot and I could have first dibs at the truck that was outgoing. I was going to trade an air conditioning problem for an unknown problems. I started looking online to see if I could find a fix for my air conditioning. I couldn’t stay inside this truck when I was travelling through the desert, unless I had air conditioning. I finally found a list of FAQ’s about the air conditioning in this model truck. I was surprised at all the information I was able to find on the AC unit. I was even able to find some easy fixes for the air conditioning. It took me two days of downtime to fix the AC, but it was working as if it was new. Maybe someday I’ll switch from driving truck to being a HVAC technician.
