Grandma talks

The problem came when he tried to explain that it was dangerous for her circulation

Okay, I’m sure that many of you will agree with myself and others when I say that older people can seem a bit nuts. They not only tend to live in the past however some of the ideas that they come up with are particularly off the charts. My Grandma is no different. I will never forget the time that she decided to use contact paper on the washroom floor… She was absolutely proud of herself when she told myself and others that she had installed current flooring in the washroom. Well, when I went in to check it out I realized what she had done and I had to laugh. Sometimes, when you have to wait out the fact that their idea is not the best it can be a bit awkward. This was the case when my husband went to visit my Grandma and check on her a single day last summer, and when he arrived he found my Grandma is resting in the home office in her chair with her feet in a basket of ice water. He did not know that this was quite healthy for her so he called myself and others to ask what he should do. First thing I proposed him to do was ask her why she was resting care about that and she stated that it was too sizzling in her lake house so she was trying to cool off. She recalled doing this when she was a child so she figured it would work fantastic now as well. The problem came when he tried to explain that it was dangerous for her circulation. I advocated that he go to the store and purchase a small personal cooling component for her instead. So far she seems glad with it and I hope she does not use the basket of ice anymore.
