There is really something so very satisfying for me to walk in my house after a long, hot summer day.
We make our home in a region where the heat is just so intense for over a four month period during the summer.
The HVAC is our saving grace and I am just so grateful to have it. My job requires that I visit a lot of the project sites my company is working on. This is tough in the summer. I have to wear slacks, a hard hat and a shirt and tie. Not exactly summertime garb. That is a uniform for HVAC controlled office work not for the field. So, just coming home to my own HVAC controlled house is something that I dream about all day. And, I am always so glad when it finally happens. Lately, we’ve added a smart thermostat to the HVAC. We are trying to get a bit more disciplined about the cooling cost of the summer. The smart thermostat does a great job of not overcooling the house during the peak heating hours. Yet, it cools down the house nicely by the time I get home. The HVAC is also doing more than just cooling the house. The HVAC is also balancing the humidity as it cools the house. The HVAC does this by removing warm air from the inside of the house and exhausting it outside. During this process, the HVAC is also removing a great deal of moisture from the inside air as well. In so doing, the humidity gets balanced. That way, we don’t have to spend all summer battling with mold & mildew.
