I couldn’t stand the cold air conditioning in the conference room

I couldn’t stand the cold air conditioning in the conference room today at our staff meeting.

  • We have a staff meeting every week on Tuesday right before lunch.

I think that they schedule it right before lunch so that people will be hungry and ready to get out of there. It’s probably a good idea to do it then because then everyone is less apt to sit around and talk about dumb stuff like people always seem to want to do in meetings around here. The staff meetings are my least favorite part of my job, but they are mandatory and everyone has to be in attendance. At the meeting today, I was so cold that I thought I was going to freeze right there in my seat. I think that everyone else was cold too, but we couldn’t get the thermostat in the conference room to work. Whenever I booked the conference room earlier in the day, I turned the air conditioning down a few degrees because it felt really hot in there. But then by the time we went to the actual meeting, the room felt like the inside of a refrigerator. The air conditioning kept running the entire time that we were in the meeting, and it was not comfortable at all. You would think that in a multi-million dollar company’s headquarters, they would be able to hire a commercial HVAC company that would be able to fix issues like this. They never have HVAC companies come to check on our building and I think it’s just because our company is cheap.
