Switching professions in your middle age is quite a challenge.
But I’ve just done it.
After a few decades of working in vehicle sales, I felt that was enough and wanted to pursue something more interesting. I chose to go back to school to get my certification to become an AC specialist. I had a slight desire to try Ac work since I was a child, however when getting out of college,l I went the automobile sales route. But now years later I desire to do AC repairs. I passed my course and got my Heating & A/C certification. I now work for a local AC business as a technician. I was a quick study on AC service and schooling was pretty easy to follow. It was just different being in class because of my age. Some of my classmates made some jokes. But It all worked out for the best. I’m happier here being an AC expert and love my work a lot better. I’m also making a little more money than I did selling cars. People assume it would be the other way around, however it isn’t. AC servicing had been my passion, but I just didn’t realize it till half way through life in my middle age. Well, as they say, it is better late than never!
