I feel kind of bad that I didn’t get up this morning and talk to the HVAC technician when he came to fix my air conditioner.
- I told the landlord that the air conditioner wasn’t cooling very much and he told me that he would schedule an appointment for the HVAC company to look at the air conditioner.
That appointment was supposed to be yesterday morning, but the guy never showed up. My landlord called to tell me that the guy was coming this morning. I already had an online poker game scheduled at 8 a.m. and it was a $300 buy-in. I was not going to cancel my tournament, especially since I scheduled the air conditioner service for the previous day. The guy arrived about thirty minutes after the tournament started. When the HVAC technician rang the doorbell, I quickly got up from the computer and answered the door. I showed the guy where the air conditioner was located and I went right back to the computer. The guy was there for almost three hours and I never got up or barely said a word to him. I don’t know if he was happy or aggravated, but I feel a little bad that I didn’t get up and at least talk with the guy for a few minutes. I ended up winning quite a bit of money in the tournament, but I still feel bad that I was looking at the computer screen the entire time that guy was working on my repair. He didn’t know the circumstances and probably thought I was being a jerk.
