I want to return the ductless HVAC system.

When I bought our tiny house, I let the HVAC tech talk me into having a ductless HVAC system installed.

  • It has now been a year, and I am not glad with our HVAC system.

I never have enough air conditioning for the living room area. It seems all the heating, ventilation plus A/C is in the living room area. I have tried increasing the fins in the blower to get some air into the living room, but it barely gets there. Sitting in the living room, I need a blanket to watch cable if I want it cool in the rest of the house. My beach house is only 400 square feet and yet I’m not comfortable. I wish I had them install a small furnace and air conditioning unit. It wouldn’t have taken up that much space to have it installed under the house. It is all one floor. They could have put the ductwork in the crawl space beneath the roof before installing the ceiling. Now, I am trying to find out if I can have the ductless HVAC system uninstalled and have the traditional HVAC system installed. I saw they make them for tiny houses, and I am willing to pay the cost of having the ductless removed and the ductwork installed along with all the equipment. I bought a tiny beach house because it was what I wanted and it was all the space I needed. I legitimately want an HVAC system that is going to keep me comfortable until I am ready to move, which will be quite some time from now.
