I may be strange from other people, however I feel that a fireplace is much better than a portable space oil furnace when it comes to heating your kitchen while trying to save on energy use.
I have heard all about portable space heating systems and I even tried it once.
And it just didn’t give me the feeling I wanted in the air quality, then not sure what it was, but our fireplace that I now have gives me exactly what I need! It’s an electric fireplace, not an authentic real fireplace, so I guess that what I was feeling had nothing to do with electric versus natural sparks. It was just something about the portable space oil furnace that didn’t sit right with me, maybe it was the fact that it got too darn boiling occasionally, or maybe it was the fact that it kind of made the air in our current home a little dry. I’m not totally sure, but all I guess is that ever since I went out and bought this electric fireplace im ecstatic. Not only are our electric bills lower with not having to run the central heating plan as often, but the indoor air conditions seems a little better. I think there’s just something about an electric fireplace that beats out portable space heaters. I could be wrong of course, but this is just me speaking from our personal experience on the matter. If someone was to ask me what was better to heat your current home and asked me to choose between an electric fireplace and a portable space heater, I would for sure tell them the fireplace!
