I truly cannot believe how extravagant camper and RV heating systems are, it is outrageous.
I could pretty much buy a new furnace for our beach property for the price that a lot of camper heating systems run.
I looked into getting a used camper furnace, and it was honestly not that much cheaper. I thought for sure that I would have to just sell our camper because I could not afford to buy new heating equipment for it. It would not be an immense deal if I did not camp during the cooler seasons of the year, but I do. The Summer is the busiest time for myself and others at our place of work, so I can’t take time off from my task to camp during the Summer months. I usually take our camping trips at the end of September or the beginning of October. It is easily chilly around here during that time of year, so I need to have heat in our camper in order to prefer our camping travels. I had been using a propane section oil furnace for the last couple of years, however that was getting especially old. A friend of mine offered myself and others an old camper furnace that he happened to have, and I readily accepted. I had to do a bit of work, but I ended up making it work just fine for our camper. It does use a little bit of propane, so I have to make sure that I have propane tanks filled still, however it doesn’t use it nearly as swiftly. I am so proud to finally have a furnace in our camper once again. It is so amazing not to have to worry about how I am going to heat our camper.
