I work for a local construction supplier that has been in the company for about 15 years now! I worked here for about 10 years and I have to disclose that I care about this task and I don’t ever consider leaving! However, since I work for a construction supplier, that means both of us have to work outside in the tepid Summer daylight most days. I don’t prefer entirely working out in the tepid Summer daylight and it takes a toll on myself and others mentally and physically every single day, and ever since the pandemic started I have also had to begin wearing a mask while I’m entirely working outside! And that has just been 1 of the hardest things I’ve ever had to deal with. The two of us are now allowed to take 30 minute breaks in our cars to kneel in the air-conditioning so that both of us can have a little break from the tepid weather. However, sitting in the air-conditioning for only 30 minutes doesn’t absolutely make up for having to work in the tepid Summer Sun numerous minutes at a time. I’m going to have to talk to my boss and see if I can have more time in my car so I can have the A/C blasting on myself and others for longer. I just don’t think I’ll be able to make it in the Summer heat if I can’t have more time in front of the A/C. I think most of the guys on the team think this way too so I don’t think it’s disappointing bringing this up to my boss. I absolutely do hope that both of us will be able to service this so both of us can all have a little more time in the A/C.
