I love hanging out with my younger brother.
He just graduated college and moved back to the city where I and the rest of our family still lives.
When we were younger we used to go to movies together at the theater down the road from our parents’ house. We’d get on our bikes and ride down to the theater to catch a double feature. Whenever there were summer or winter breaks, we’d spend most of our entire weekend at the movie theater, catching four to five films in the process. My brother has just recently moved into his first apartment. Ever since I helped him move his life into his new apartment, he made plans with me for our first movie night since we were kids. I was thrilled at the idea! But before I left, I noticed he had a new window air conditioner sitting on top of its box with some of the packaging foam and tape still attached. I asked him if he was having problems with his new window air conditioner, and he mentioned that he has no idea how to properly secure the unit to his window frame. Since I’ve installed a few window air conditioners over the years, I was confident I could help him out. I stayed an additional hour to help me brother get his window a/c secured to his window frame. The last thing we did was stuff insulation foam into any of the cracks between the machine and the window. My brother was thrilled after we finished the chore. I’m excited to spend time with my brother at his new apartment, especially now that we can resume our movie nights from before.
