When we were experiencing some issues with our van the other day, I decided to have the van checked out at the local auto shop. I already knew that the work was going to be terribly expensive, so If figured that my buddy would be able to help me replace all the parts that were needed. When the auto shop diagnosed the problems, it seemed they really couldn’t come up with what was causing the actual noise. They did come up with a list of other things that needed to be replaced though. My buddy looked at everything and we heard the noise. He said that it seemed the water pump was making the sound, and it definitely wasn’t coming from the belt. It actually made sense that the water pump could be making a noise, because there was a coolant leak, and when the water pump fails, it will leak coolant. We just replaced the radiator and all the hoses, so that was really the only place it would leak coolant. With the new thermostat and various other parts, I knew that I wouldn’t have any major issues with my car any longer. When everything was eventually finished, I was happy because the climate control system was working great, there were no crazy noises anymore, and the car was driving beautifully. The best part about it all, was that I only paid a fraction of what I would have paid at the auto shop.
