My daughter told me she wanted to have some car customizations done for her birthday.
I seldom gave a second thought to her requests when it was her birthday, so I quickly agreed.
She made an appointment for us to take her car to the auto customization shop so we could get an estimate of what she wanted done. I had bought her an old VW bug and she loved it, but she wanted to make it hers. When we got to the auto customization shop, she told them she wanted her car to be pearl white with blue stripes coming up the hood of the car. She also requested they paint little blue flowers around the bottom of the car. I had to laugh, but if that’s what she wanted, that is what she was going to get. At least she wasn’t asking for a Herbie car that would bounce over bumps. I couldn’t believe the price they quoted me, but it was a fair price. Before we left the auto customization shop, she got the appointment to have the work done. As we were walking out, she told me she forgot something. She wanted the inside of the car detailed and she also wanted to have sun control window tint applied to her windows. She was finally thinking along the lines I thought when she said about customizations. She said the inside looked a little rough and the sun control window tints would keep the car interior from getting further damaged. I was proud of the way she was thinking.
