New HVAC systems don’t sit well with me

I’m not happy about making changes.

I like my life to be steady and predictable, as much as possible.

Maybe I don’t like novelty, or maybe I’m just boring. I know that I am stuck in a rut when it comes to my daily life, but I don’t really want to investigate the best ways to make changes. This is the case with everything in the world, all the way down to my central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. Too bad, it’s going to have to change, because my air conditioner and furnace stopped working weeks ago. For the past few months I figured that my central heating and cooling equipment was getting close to the end. I heard loud, strange sounds coming from the oil powered furnace and air conditioning system whenever the indoor air temperature control devices would start working. Then, the temperature control program broke down on me. This is when I realized change was coming. I suddenly started learning about the very unfamiliar heating, cooling, and air quality control systems that are available. It turns out, there are a lot of options besides using a forced air furnace or traditional cooling system. I have never personally known anything outside of these forced air heating, cooling, and air quality control devices. But there is an entire variety of air quality and air temperature control systems. This is the first I ever heard of the geothermal heat pump, which uses zero energy input. I also started to educate myself on radiant heated flooring and evaporative cooling systems as alternative HVAC measures. Both have been taking a big chunk of the heating and cooling market recently. I had no idea that all these heating, cooling, and air quality control systems existed, but I’ll choose the least amount of change possible.
