Not happy with ductless system installation

My husband and I own a house in the far north and a second home down south.

Our goal is to take advantage of the very best of the weather in both locations.

We typically live up north from May thru early November and then head south for the rest of the year. One of the biggest challenges with this way of life is leaving the house in the north empty during the winter. The local area regularly experiences temperatures down to twenty-five below zero. The heating system installed in the house is old and unpredictable. We worry about it malfunctioning, quitting and causing some major problems. There is always the fear that the water pipes will freeze and rupture. I decided it would be a great idea to have a ductless mini split system installed. With a single outdoor component, we’re able to link multiple indoor air handlers that provide heating or cooling to specific rooms. I figured an air handler in each of the bathrooms and the kitchen would make a huge difference. I spent quite a bit of money to purchase the ductless system and have it installed. I was down south when the project took place. When I returned north, I found that the contractor had done a horrible job. There are ugly pipes screwed to the outside of my house. The indoor air handlers are mounted crooked and several of them aren’t operational. I have been trying to contact the technician for several months with no luck. I now want to pull the equipment out and start over with a new idea, but there are holes in my house to handle the conduit.
