Realtor knew what she was talking about with HVAC upgrade

I’m really glad that the older I get, the quicker I realize that I’m just wrong about something.

And that has helped me make less an ass of myself when I am just determined not to be wrong. Sounds pretty typical right? Well, I was wrong about the HVAC equipment in our house. That’s just all there is to it. I’m just glad that both I backed off and the realtor stood her ground. I have to say that I’m still quite impressed with her steely resolve on the HVAC equipment issue. The fact that we were selling the family home was already super stressful to me and my wife. My wife’s just better at dealing with her stress in productive ways. I tend to hold it in til I have to walk away, put my face in front of the air conditioning air duct in order not to lose it. That’s just what happened when the realtor flatly stated that the HVAC equipment had to be replaced. I thought she was wrong since it had operated flawlessly up to that point due to all the HVAC maintenance it had received. And I figured it might even have a decade left of heating and cooling left in it. But she wasn’t having it. The HVAC unit was too old and there wasn’t any of the HVAC technology that were big selling points for prospective buyers. I ended up having to walk away. But I cooled off, did some due diligence and called her to apologize because she was right and I was wrong about the HVAC upgrade.
