I am the owner of a sizable Heating, Ventilation & A/C corporation in our area, & in our experience, hiring Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans that came directly from a college where they were taught to be Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans is not a superb thing; I do not care about Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans that were college trained, & I avoid hiring them if I can.
I would much rather hire an Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman that was trained directly in an Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, now, I have nothing against colleges when it comes to academic fields, but the work of an Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman is very suited for hands-on studying, & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans that were trained in a college to become Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans are not trained that way.
In fact, I have found that a lot of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans that were trained in college are uncomfortable laboring on Heating, Ventilation & A/C units. Furthermore, Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans that are trained in a college have no plan how to work creatively, these Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans are taught the respected way to do something, but if they walk into a home with an Heating, Ventilation & A/C component that is not installed exactly how they were taught, they have no plan how to improvise & work with what they have. I never have this trouble with Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans that have trained directly in our Heating, Ventilation & A/C business, but most of the time, when I hire an Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman that was trained in a college, I pair them up with an Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman that I have trained directly so that they can be reprogrammed to do things! Occasionally, practical experience is better than college.
